This class is about fun!
With a focus on scene work, this class uses improv games and group exercises to teach young students the fundamentals of acting.
The kids are encouraged to use their imagination as they learn to create characters, build scenes and invent whole worlds without ever using a costume, prop or set piece.
They will also practice teamwork and listening skills to help them work as an ensemble and learn the discipline of acting.

THEATRE – Musical Theatre (ages 8-17)
Musical theatre is a form of theatre combining songs, spoken dialogue and dance. The emotional content of the piece – humor, pathos, love, anger – as well as the story itself, is communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.
Although musical theatre overlaps with other theatrical forms such as opera, it may be distinguished by the equal importance given to the music as compared with the dialogue, movement and other elements of the works.
Since the early 20th century, musical theatre stage works have generally been called, simply, “musicals”.

VISUAL ARTS – Drawing (ages 8-17)
Everything starts with drawing! Drawing is all about looking, making a mark and learning how to refine that mark to express emotion and re-create a reality or feeling. Learning to draw opens up endless possibilities and easily helps students branch off into other art forms.
We help our students build skills and confidence as they gain an understanding of drawing fundamentals, while encouraging individual creativity and expression.
